Greetings, heroes of Azeroth!

This website was created in order to serve as a comprehensive WoW Strategy guide for World of Warcraft fans everywhere. We have created a collection of in depth strategy guides for the many different aspects of one of the world’s most popular and exciting MMORPGs (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games) – World of Warcraft.

Whether you are plunging into this world of fictional high adventure as a mage, blasting your foes with fire and frost, a cunning rogue who lurks in the shadows awaiting your opportunity, a bold paladin filled with the power of the Light, or one of the seven other classes, you are sure to find a World of Warcraft guide here which will be useful to you in navigating this complex online world.

Victory is sweet, and knowing how to get the most out of the game – whether it is making gold, using your character’s powers to the best advantage, leveling up as fast as possible, or winning in the battlegrounds and world player vs player (PvP) – is the best way to win the ongoing adventures that you will find in the perilous lands of Azeroth. All these things and more are detaield through the WoW strategy guides found on this site.

While I’ve tried to cover as much WoW strategy as possible on this site, it’s simply not possible to give you all the information you need if you really want to excel at the game. For an all in one strategy guide that covers WoW levelling, profession mastery and PvP play as well as a fully featured gold guide, I’d recommend checking out my favourite WoW strategy guide:

The Ultimate World of Warcraft Guide

World of Warcraft is the most recent in Blizzard’s series of Warcraft games, the first three being strategy games depicting the wars of their distinctive game world. In World of Warcraft, the game is taken to a whole new level.

Instead of commanding armies that move through a series of relatively pre-determined scenarios, you control a single character, questing through brilliantly detailed lands, developing your skills and professions, equipping yourself as best as possible to meet the many challenges of this fantastic world. It is a place for interacting with NPCs, joining guilds of like-minded players, and venturing into dread dungeons and citadels where lethal, legendary opponents and mighty treasures await.

World of Warcraft has proven to be explosively popular. Since its release in 2004, the game has evolved through three expansions, the most recent of which, Cataclysm, is designed to redefine the whole game world. Millions of people across the globe, from every continent and nation, now play the game, giving you the opportunity to game alongside people from every walk of life and location.

WoW Factions, Race and Classes

In World of Warcraft, your character is mainly defined by three things – their faction, race, and class. The two factions are the Alliance and the Horde. Each race has a unique starting area, with special quests for levels 1 through 18, and both factions have entire zones of the world where there are mostly faction-only quests.

In this way, each faction plays a bit differently, and you will experience hundreds of faction-only quests for each side, meaning there are effectively two different games in one. There are also many neutral questgivers who provide the same quests to both factions.

The Alliance is led by humans, and also contains night elves, dwarves, gnomes, draenei (a large, blue-skinned, hoofed race vaguely resembling demons, though they are among the most pious and noble of the Alliance races), and worgen (werewolves). Their culture seems to be largely centered on cities, and they are defined further by their religion, which is worship of the Light.

The Horde is focused more on a tribal society that values strength and ferocity, and which has beliefs based on ancestor-worship and nature spirits. The leading Horde race are the orcs, while other races to be found in this faction are the trolls, the Forsaken (free-willed undead), goblins, blood elves, and tauren (minotaur-like creatures with a culture based loosely on American Indians).

Classes include warriors – who are either ferocious fighters or heavily armored “tanks” who protect other characters in instances – rogues – sneaky damage-dealers and backstabbers – hunters – archers or riflemen who have combat pets as well – mages – casters of frost, fire, or arcane spells – druids – a shapeshifting hybrid class that can heal, damage, or tank – paladins – heavily-armored melee fighters who can also heal – priests – who are superb healers but can specialize for damage, too – shaman – nature-oriented spellcasters who make use of enhancing totems – warlocks – wielders of dark magic and summoners of demons – and death knights – ferocious warriors from beyond the grave who fight in close combat but also wield magic and disease.

There are many different things for you to do while you are playing World of Warcraft that all form part of a greater WoW strategy. You can level your character up with quests, or run repeatable quests at maximum level (which will soon be level 85 with the release of the Cataclysm expansion) for extra gold.

Your character can develop various professions, including blacksmithing, enchanting, jewelcrafting, engineering, first aid, and cooking, as well as many others. These let you make useful items, or sometimes valuable items that can be sold on the auction house to other players. Your character can earn gold to buy special mounts, gear, and skills.

You can also run instances, which are dungeons with extra-tough monsters in them – elites – and which are run by groups of 5, 10, 15, or 25 people. There are also many different battlegrounds where you can test your skill against other players in exciting player versus player (PvP) action.

There is a lot to experience and a lot to learn, and the World of Warcraft strategy guides on this site can help you greatly in getting the most out of the game and exploring all of the fascinating possibilities to be found in the online World of Warcraft.
